Nationwide’s Outstanding IMI Awards Finalists…

September 1st, 2017|Awards|0 Comments

Nationwide are delighted to announce that we have three finalists in the IMI Outstanding Achievers Awards 2017. As industry leaders, we actively promote team member recognition and to have industry recognition at the IMI Outstanding Awards is a great achievement in itself.

The IMI Outstanding Achievers Awards, which is to be hosted on 17th October at IMI Fanshaws, has historically seen great presence from Nationwide, with our Technical Training and Professional Development Academy having won Specialist Centre of the Year for the past two years running.

This year we have not only seen representation in the Specialist Centre of the Year category, but we also have one finalist in the Outstanding Accredited Professional category and a Nationwide Apprentice nominated for Outstanding Technical Student – Body Repair.

Richard Prior, who was recently promoted to join our Technical Training Team, has been nominated for Outstanding Accredited Professional 2017. Richard said: “I’m delighted to be shortlisted for this award. I have worked extremely hard over the course of my career and, following my recent promotion and now being shortlisted for this award, I am feeling a great deal of pride.”

Following in Ricks footsteps is Nationwide Apprentice, Reece Punter, from NCRC Nottingham who has been shortlisted as Outstanding Technical Student of the Year 2017 in body repair. Reece has been a constant shining example of what Apprentice’s at Nationwide can achieve, just this year he was recognised as Nationwide Apprentice of the Year at his graduation.

The Technical Training and Professional Development Academy has again been named as finalists in the Specialist Centre of the Year Award. The investments made in the centre, the expansion of the Team and the enhanced delegate experience at the centre has ensured Nationwide are named as finalist for a third consecutive year.

Technical Training Manager, Chris McGowan, said: “We have won this accolade for two years in a row now and what a dream it would be if we could make it a hat-trick! The training centre offers excellent facilities for all Nationwiders and as we continue to develop and improve, it is amazing to see our hard work is being recognised within the industry.”

All finalists will attend the awards in October, but regardless of the outcome, everyone at Nationwide is extremely proud of each finalist. We wish all of our finalists the best of luck.
